By: Governess Films The night will include a screening of Emmy-winning filmmaker Lisa Russell's award-winning short film “PODER!” followed by a panel discussion with leading global girl advocates and youth leaders. The event will conclude with live poetry performances by youth poets Sore Agbaje, Chanel Dupree and the 2014 Youth Poet Laureate Ramya Ramana. Held in collaboration with the “I AM HERE: Girls Reclaiming Safe Spaces” exhibition of photographs and words curated by renowned photographer Delphine Fawundu and writer Ibi Zoboi at the Skylight Gallery located at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, the event will close with an after-party at a nearby venue.
