Step Into Another Era At Blair Castle This Christmas

BLAIR ATHOLL, Scotland - Nov. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Ever wondered what Christmas was like in the 18^th century? The historic Blair Castle is celebrating its fascinating past by opening its doors to the public in December and inviting visitors to see the castle as it was at Christmas in Victorian times. The era will depict when the 7^th Duke of Atholl and his family lived and celebrated the festive season there.

Steeped with stories and cultural heritage, the castle’s history comes alive as visitors step back in time and experience a Victorian Christmas Castle while soaking up the beautifully carved sights including the main staircase, the picture staircase and many, many other grand rooms to explore.

Blair Castle, nestled in the hills at Pitlochry, will be open for two weekends in the run up to Christmas on December 13^th, 14^th, 20^th and 21^st.

Blair Castle is also hosting Sunday lunches in the spectacular Ballroom on the 14^th and 21^st December for those looking for an extra special treat ahead of Christmas. Father Christmas will be there to welcome the children to his Grotto and will also be showcasing his bagpiping skills!
