Rich Okun Publishes Latest Book With Bellissima Publishing, LLC

JAMUL, Calif. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- This Rich Okun second book with Bellissima Publishing, LLC was greatly anticipated.   Okun  came to Bellissima with several credits on his writing resume, and he was a perfect fit for Bellissima Publishing, LLC, at least as far as CEO Penny D. Weigand was concerned.  Okun’s first Bellissima Publishing, LLC book, “Earth Wind, Fire And Maya,” like this new book,  is a collection of Okun’s wonderful paintings, accompanied by his poetry.

“We like to think of ourselves as a small publishing company with a message, a mission and a heart, as well as a special place for children of all ages,” Weigand told us.  “Okun is first an artist, and then he is a poet! He reminds one of a modern day Norman Rockwell.  I hope to win a Caldecott award with this second book,  “Embrace Every Step . . . Life is a dance . . .' because I really think this book is quite speecial.”

Rich Okun spent most of his career in various corporate positions, and was one of the youngest members of the Art Students’ League of New York.  He thinks he finally has an answer to the question he has asked himself all of his life; and that question is, “What do you want to be when you grow up?' In short, Rich Okun feels he has now found his calling, writing and illustrating  what Bellissima Publishing, LLC describes as ‘beautifully crafted children’s books, inspired by a small dog named Maya.’
