Wild Florida Announces The Addition of a Red Shouldered Hawk to the Gator Park

Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Wild Florida, Orlando’s premier gator park and eco-tour experience, has recently announced the addition of a beautiful new red shouldered hawk, Beetle. The hawk is a new addition to the ever-expanding gator park that is on the Wild Florida property.

Red shoulder hawks are medium-sized hawks that can grow anywhere between 15-24 inches long. Beetle came to Wild Florida as a rescue from the Florida Audubon Society, which nursed him back to health after being found abandoned and injured. Because of his familiarity with humans, Beetle cannot be released back into the wild but has found a forever home at Wild Florida.

“We are excited for the addition of Beetle, our red shouldered hawk,” said Porter Brown, representative of Wild Florida. “We want to give everyone an opportunity to see Florida’s natural, beautiful ecosystem. It’s part of our mission as an organization to help preserve and protect Florida’s fragile environment.”
