The Cupboard Inc. Presents The Color Purple to cancel upcoming High Point Theatre performance

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Dec. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- With great expectation of the upcoming performance of The Color Purple to be performed at the High Point Theatre Dec. 11-13^th, the production has decided to reschedule the show.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, this performance has been postponed to Saturday, February 21, 2015.” said a spokesperson from the High Point Theatre.

The Cupboard Inc., a non-profit organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana was slated for a four show run at the prestigious High Point Theatre.

“We are still excited for our run in High Point. We look forward to bringing the production to High Point.” said Samantha Pounds, the organization’s publicist.

The Cupboard Inc. is currently embarking on a tour of Oprah Winfrey's The Color Purple and proceeds from the production go towards the launching of a mobile food pantry.

The organziation hopes to come back to the High Point area after the production wraps to donate food to communities of need as the troupe uses arts to leverage the community.
