Hydrobikes LLC Takes its Water Bike Global; How Big Can Biking on Water Become?

To prove its endurance Steve Anderson rode the bike 1,180 miles for 68 days UP the Mississippi River (against the current) from the Gulf of Mexico to St Cloud, Minnesota in 1994.

In 2008, 64 year old Bob Barrett of WA commented that he had been riding his Hydrobike across Puget Sound on his journey to work for 7 years logging over 6000 miles.

HYDROBIKE TECHNOLOGY

The Hydrobike propeller is CAD/CAM generated.  The propulsion technology is based on MIT “Propeller Theory” to achieve 90% + efficiency.  This same theory was essential to the Gossamer Albatross – the human powered aircraft that flew the English Channel in 1979.  The Hydrobike catamaran style pontoons were designed by a canoe designer for optimal buoyancy, speed, and maneuverability.  Hydrobikes are adjustable to accommodate rider heights and preferences.
