December 10 - Human Rights Protest at Pakistan Embassy

WASHINGTON - Dec. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Press Release: Wednesday 12/10 3 PM Human Rights Protest Pakistan Embassy - Washington DC

On Wednesday, December 10, at 3 PM Eastern Time, a Human Rights Day Protest will be held in front of the Pakistan Embassy in Washington, D.C.  The Pakistan Embassy is located at: 3517 International Ct NW, Washington, DC 20008

Protesters will call upon the Pakistan government and its people to reject the continuing human rights violations for religious minorities (Hindu, Christian, Shia, Ahmadiyya, and others), the oppression of the Balochistan people, the horrific violence and murder against such religious minorities, the use of the Blasphemy law as a tool of oppression and murder, as well as forced conversion of religious minorities, including kidnapping of young girls.

This has included recently abuses against human rights including:

-- Increased numbers of attacks on Hindu Temples and violence against Pakistan Hindus, including kidnapping of young girls

-- The murder and burning to death of Pakistan Christians by a mob 1,200

On December 10, people around the world honor human rights in remembrance of the international signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948.
