BALTIMORE - Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Rosedale, Maryland (December 9, 2014) – This week, Gamse Lithography Co. (http://www.gamse.com/) and its American-made packaging printing represent Maryland and over a century of manufacturing on AOL’s This Built America (http://www.thisbuiltamerica.com/maryland)editorial series.

Situated in the bustling Baltimore area, Gamse Lithography has been the label maker for some of America’s biggest businesses since 1896. Their key location has not been lost on owner Dan Canzoniero. “Even though manufacturing is scattered all over the United States and the Americas, a lot of purchasing centers and decision-making is done in the mid-Atlantic,” he explains.

That key location is also playing into the evolution of Gamse’s workforce—now shifting to America’s trend in short-term employment over a lifetime at one business. “What we’re doing is visiting local colleges and universities starting this February,” Canzoniero says. “We’re going to talk to kids who don’t necessarily have an engineering background, but rather business. Hey, we need people in sales, customer service, production. All those areas we want to talk to these students about."

Gamse Lithography Co. joins a national movement in This Built America that is devoted to supporting American companies and American-made products. AOL is proud to support the effort along with sponsor Ford Trucks. Through the year, the editorial and video teams will explore 50 states in 50 weeks to bring 50 stories of the people who are bringing back manufacturing to America. The platform is produced in coordination with Man Made Content.
