Find Your Winter Wonderland at Elk

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. - Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Nestled in the snowy San Bernadino mountains, San Gabriel Valley’s YMCA Camp Elk is located in Wrightwood, California near Mt. Baldy. Kids and their families will have the opportunity to enjoy Camp Elk with two Winter Wonderland camps. Activities at the YMCA’s Camp Elk include rock wall climbing, family bonding, tubing, archery, hiking, arts and crafts, astronomy, sports, and more. Cabins are winterized to keep campers warm and indoor bathrooms and available kitchen facilities make Camp Elk feel like home.

Two winter camps are offered:

Kids’ Winter Camp: December 20-23, 2014
Family Winter Camp: December 27-30, 2014

Camps will offer family bonding activities, campfires, fun in the snow, and more. The YMCA nurture character development through the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Y camping programs are educational and experiential; they promote cognitive development, physical well-being, social growth, character development, leadership skills, and a respect for the environment. Through a variety of engaging activities and the use of natural surroundings, YMCA camping programs encourage kids to explore and develop their interests and abilities in a safe and nurturing environment.
