National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo Grows Attendance by 24%

LAS VEGAS - Dec. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Ergonomics and safety leaders gathered in Las Vegas for the 20th anniversary of the National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo, held at Caesars Palace on Dec. 2 - 5, 2014. With their biggest community of attendees and exhibitor representatives from all around the United States and 8 countries, the conference experienced the largest show-to-show increase in the event’s history.

“The 2014 event was the best yet. With record-breaking attendance and a 10% increase in the size of our show floor, ErgoExpo™ continues to be the nation’s largest, longest-running ergonomics event,” said Ed Chase, Vice President, LRP Conferences.

The National Ergonomics Conference, which featured keynotes by Professor William Marras, PhD, CPE, the Honda Professor Chair in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University; and Robert Edson, Director of EHS Excellence at Amgen, Inc., focused on equipping attendees with best practices and proven strategies to help build or improve their ergonomics, safety and wellness initiatives.Through more than 60 sessions and workshops, ErgoExpo™ attendees discovered fresh approaches and received a more complete “how-to” plan to implement more productivity and cost-saving measures in their workplaces.

The educational sessions, developed by Professor Alan Hedge, PhD, CPE, provided an opportunity for attendees to also earn valuable CEUs, COCs and CM points.

An annual favorite, the ErgoExpo Attendees’ Choice Awards, was held also during the 3 day event. Delegates voted for the new product they believe offers the best opportunity to increase productivity and profitability, while improving workplace health and safety.  The top four vote recipients out of 31 new product entries this year were announced and received honors in the Expo Hall on Dec. 4.

ESI Ergonomic Solutions and Via Seating are first-time winners. This is Focal Upright’s second win and ErgoGenesis’s fourth win.
