Follow on Google News | Esquire restaurant editor and James Beard Award winner slated for Travel EXPOBy: Great Vacations Travel EXPO presented by AAA Recently tapped to take over Esquire magazine's extensive and well-respected food and restaurant coverage, Ozersky also pens the magazine’s much-anticipated annual "Best New Restaurants in America" list and its first-ever annual Food and Drink Awards. Recognized for excellence in food writing with the prestigious James Beard Award for his work on New York Magazine's "Grub Street," Ozersky received additional James Beard nominations for his writing in Time, The Wall Street Journal and OzerskyTV. Prior to joining Esquire, Ozersky served as National Restaurant Editor for Citysearch. His work is also featured in a wide variety of publications, including his “Taste of America” column in Time, RachaelRay.com, Edible Brooklyn, Forbes and others. His book, “Meat Me in Manhattan: A Carnivore’s Guide to New York City,” was released in 2003, followed by "The Hamburger: A History.” He's currently working on a third book, “Colonel Sanders and the American Dream.” Ozersky also founded Meatopia, a large meat-lovers outdoor culinary festival, held in New York for the past nine years and recently expanded to London, England, and San Antonio, Texas. The Great Vacations Travel EXPO, presented by AAA, opens Friday, Jan. 16, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Downtown Columbus. EXPO hours are: Friday noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or at any AAA Ohio Auto Club store for $8. AAA members who show their AAA card will receive 50%-off on admission. Children ages 16 and under are admitted at no charge.
