Houston Native/Rapper SUN Gives Away 100 Turkeys and More At #TheCauseAndTheCure Turkey Drive

HOUSTON - Dec. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- On Thursday December 18^thRapper and Houston native SUN hosted his successful #TheCauseAndTheCure Turkey Drive for families from Alief, TX area at Crossroads School.

More than 200 families from Crossroads School and several other schools in the community were represented at the drive, which distributed over 100 turkeys with the help of Fiesta Mart. Cricket Wireless donated free cell phones with free service to raffle off. The families were treated to raffles, games, art, toys and bike giveaways and food catered by Big Mama Cajun Catering.

Crossroads School Principal Tremayne Wickliffe expressed his support and appreciation of SUN’s continued efforts in Alief stating, "SUN is more than an artist and actor, I'm proud to say that he is a philanthropist that spends more time mentoring youth and changing lives in the Alief community than acting and rapping. Now, that's what I call a young man with his priorities in order.”

The hard work and the ability to give back to the community that had given him so much were well worth it, “Thursday was definitely one of most humbling and amazing experiences that I have ever had!” SUN said. “I got a chance to interact and be in touch with my fans and supporters in a way that I never have. Simply put I'm abundantly blessed and thank God, everybody who attended and help in anyway possible.”
