New User Interface in Visual Paradigm 12.0

Dec. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- The new user interface aims to simplify many of the typical tasks undertaken in Visual Paradigm such as editing diagram, finding diagram, navigating between diagrams and accessing diagram-based commands.

The most significant improvement is the increase in diagram editing spaces. By hiding the various panes, the diagram editor is now 30% bigger than before. The big diagram editor provides not just a bigger region for viewing and editing software design but also an environment that allows software designers to focus on designing instead of being side-tracked by other tree and property panes.

The new user interface has also replaced the traditional toolbar with a tabbed toolbar. Functions are well grouped under function groups, making them easily accessible. Besides, the toolbar is collapsible. User can collapse it for an even bigger diagram editor whenever necessary.

There is also a Project Browser that incorporates several ‘views’ of project, such as the Diagrams view, Model view, My Recent and Team Recent. These views provide different ways for realizing a project’s model hierarchy as well as to find out the desired diagrams. The Project Browser supports view-based finding and project-level searching, which makes searching of project data much easier.

The new user interface has also included a suite of new tools which improves your modeling efficiency, such as the action bar for accessing diagram-based commands in quick, diagram switcher, floatable description editor, statusbar with notification support, breadcrumb, quick link opening support, etc.
