Follow on Google News | “Big Daddy Cool” & Co. Returns With Comixstravaganza Live!In October of this year, Johnny, Tina and LeeAnna walked away from another popular web show. Although Tina and LeeAnna were new additions to the show that boasted 117 consecutive episodes, Johnny had been there from the beginning; serving as host and ersatz director. “It was just time for a change” said Dellarocca. “After producing someone else’s product for nearly 3 years, I just needed to focus on my brand and new endeavors. Comixstravaganza Live is one of the results of that process.” Dellarocca is best known for his work onstage as a new vintage variety artist, fusing music and magic with comedy and dance in a 1920s – 1940s style in what is described as “Dieselpunk.” performing in theaters, at festivals and cons around the country. He is also the author of 4 books on magic and the producer and host of the Diesel Powered Podcast, THE Dieselpunk podcast on iTunes, which consistently is ranked in the top 10 performing arts podcasts. Comixstravaganza Live is the newest addition to Dellarocca’s BDC Entertainment imprint. Joining Johnny, Tina, and LeeAnna is Amy Sulam and Paul Voigt of the Unlockable Characters and Dee Volpe and Nancy Arch of Cosplay Collective. While Johnny, Tina & LeeAnna will cover hot picks of the week and Johnny’s trademark “Grinds My Gears,” Amy & Paul will be providing news and commentary in their trademark “sarcastic geek” style. Dee and Nancy will be on hand as the Cosplay experts and correspondents. “Along the way we will have guests, performances, and above all else, a lot of fun. Think Fallon meets SNL News, but focused on comics and pop culture” says Dellarocca! “There will be no Geeky Tales, only Awesome Cool Adventures!” Comixstravaganza Live is sponsored by GraphicPolicy.com, and will be syndicated live via their website and FaceBook page, as well as the BDC branded web and media outlets. “This is going to be a lot of fun” said Brett Schenker, owner of Graphic Policy. “We host our own radio show podcast, but the opportunity to host a weekly live video show is something we are very excited about!” Rounding out the team is Marc Ballard of Comic City Conventions, who has partnered with the Comixstravaganza team to bring their show and turn-key programming to cons and festivals around the country.
