Championship Bull Riding Moves National Headquarters

FORT WORTH, Texas - Dec. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Championship Bull Riding (CBR) Chairman Benny Cude, and CBR President Carl Wilburn, announce the relocation of the corporate Headquarters for Championship Bull Riding.  An official ribbon cutting and grand opening will be held on January 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at the new location of 108 East Church Street, Weatherford, Texas.

Located 30 miles west of Fort Worth and 60 miles west of Dallas at the intersection of Highways 51 and 180, the historic address is located in the heart of one of the premier cowboy towns of Texas.  The new CBR offices on the square in the historic district of Weatherford will now be home to one of the nation’s top national bull riding organizations and will also house the CBR’s “Wall of Fame” featuring the twelve previous World Champions, the coveted World Champion trophy cup, as well as serving as a retail store for CBR merchandise.

This move is the foundation of an exciting phase of continual growth for the twelve year old bull riding organization that produces two national bull riding tours and features 4 time World Champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman as its Ambassador and Sage Steele Kimzey as their reigning CBR World Champion.

“Weatherford is the perfect location for our national headquarters and we look forward to working with the city of Weatherford to continue the momentum the city and CBR are experiencing,” said Chief Operating Officer Chelsee Murphy from the new location.

“This project is the start of many wonderful developments that are on the horizon for CBR and we look forward to being an integral part of the community,” said Benny Cude. The CBR headquarters was previously located in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Weatherford has a rich western heritage filled with colorful characters and personalities. Legendary cattle drivers Oliver Loving, Charles Goodnight, and Bose Ikard are just a few of the notorious cowboys that make up Weatherford's history.

The Parker County Frontier Days and Sheriff s Posse Rodeo, is one of the largest in Texas and provides fun for the entire family. Other historical figures have helped shape Weatherford. Mary Martin, internationally known Broadway star, renowned for her portrayal of Peter Pan. Her son, Larry Hagman, became forever immortalized as the villainous J .R. Ewing, of the television melodrama, Dallas.

Known as the Cutting Horse Capital of the World, Weatherford is home to dozens of professional horse trainers, hall-of-fame horses and professional rodeo cowboys.
