Fiesta Island Crash Victim Settles for Damages

SAN DIEGO - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- January 5, 2015 – SAN DIEGO, CA - On August 12, 2014, Mr. Hale was amongst a group of bicyclists who were seriously injured when a motorist driving her car the wrong way on Fiesta Island collided head on into a group of about 20 bicyclists, leaving one bicyclist partially paralyzed.

Mr. Stephen Hale sustained serious injuries. Mr. Hale’s attorney, Richard L. Duquette, Esq., obtained a prompt and favorable settlement.  The criminal case against the motorist is pending.

Mr. Hale did not file a lawsuit against the City of San Diego.  Mr. Hale and his attorney, who are both very active in the bicycling community, are appreciative and mindful of the benefits that Fiesta Island bestows upon the bicycling community throughout the area, and do not feel that local taxpayers should be held accountable for the conduct of the motorist.
