Above and Beyond welcomes Elliot Brown Watches

CRAMLINGTON, U.K. - Jan. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Cramlington, Northumberland (January 9th 2015) – One of the most exciting new watch brands in the UK is now being stocked by online retailer Above and Beyond.

After a successful 2014 and a relaunch of their e-commerce website, Above and Beyond has expanded its brands and stock to reflect an ever-changing customer base that prizes premium outdoor gear. Elliot Brown watches are a UK based brand specialising in elegant watches with ridiculously tough design.

Elliot Brown was started by Ian Elliot and Alex Brown who originally worked together at Animal, the outdoor action sports brand. Through their combined experience the two men realised the need for good looking watches that could stand up to their outdoor lifestyles. With that idea in mind, Elliot Brown watches began producing the Canford and Bloxworth range.

Both styles are shockproof to ISO1413 and waterproof to 20 atmospheres. They have been tested extensively, both in the factory (where they are subjected to hammer tests) and in the outdoors (where a watch was left at the bottom of Poole Harbour for months and came out unscathed.)

Above and Beyond is carrying both ranges of the brand and the differences are highlighted below.

The Canford

Elliot Brown says that the Canford is ‘quietly handsome.’ Unlike dinner watches, the Canford is extremely tough and durable. The Canford has a Swiss-made 5 jewel movement that has shock absorbing steel housing and a 5 year battery life with an end of life indicator. It’s got a 44MM case made from machined 316L marine grade steel.

The dial, hands and bezel use Superluminova detailing to glow in the dark, so you can read the time no matter what the conditions. The case on the watch is bolted down and triple-sealed crowns mean no water will get into the mechanism.

The Canford is a true everyday watch with an outdoor edge behind it.

The Bloxworth

Where the Canford is elegant, the Bloxworth is rugged. A sports-style watch with diving aesthetic, the Bloxworth range features a chronograph and provides more function than the Canford. It’s designed to be a real adventuring watch, able to go anywhere and do anything.

The Bloxworth has a 13 jewel chronograph movement. It features an outer rotating bezel with a machined finish for better grip. The bezel only rotates anticlockwise, so if knocked it will only show a shorter time. Like the Canford, the Bloxworth is bolted together and sealed against water.

The Bloxworth is an outdoor sports watch that looks fantastic no matter where you wear it. It’s a real standout watch in all of its variations and has the perfect combination of form and function.
