End of United States Space Program Creates Inspiration For New Seattle Band Grieve the Astronaut

SEATTLE - Jan. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- For the past fifty years, the space program was part of everyday life for Americans all over the country. The recent end of the space program has hit the Emerald City as well and a Seattle-based band called “Grieve the Astronaut” is using this monumental event as the inspiration for a new concept album launched on Kickstarter.

“As children, we are encouraged to embrace our dreams and are taught that anything is possible,” said band member Raymond Hayden with Maurice the Fish Records. “At some point, as we grow up we are then encouraged to follow more conservative paths. Grieve the Astronaut is a metaphor utilizing the loss of the importance of our space program in the United States to reflect the same loss.”

Band members Chris Tussing, Ben Beman and Raymond Hayden are coming together to recreate that spark of endless dreams that was lost when the space program ended. Their concept album will reflect each of their individual dreams and help album listeners make that boundless space journey again.

“The music will be similar to popular bands like Cold Play and Pink Floyd with some progressive rock influences,” Hayden said. “Listening to our music will unlock creativity, freedom and true life inspiration. It will be a musical journey for the ears. Brian Parker will also help us bring the visual element to life that will enhance the total body experience”
