Scosche re-ups as a sponsor of 2015 Channel Islands Surfboards Rincon Classic presented by Hurley

OXNARD, Calif. - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- Scosche is proud to again be a sponsor of the prestigious local surfing event - 2015 Channel Islands Surfboards Rincon Classic presented by Hurley - scheduled to be held January 23, 24 and 25 at Rincon Point located at the Ventura and Santa Barbara county line.

Produced by Surf Happens for 15 consecutive years, the Rincon Classic brings out the area’s best surfers of all ages who contend for honors and awards. The event draws a large contingent of surfing enthusiasts from surrounding counties who line the beach to watch both professional and amateur surfers compete.

Scosche has once again teamed up with the event’s organizers to be the official audio sponsor. The company will be providing “In Rhythm” awards and prizes throughout the event for top amateur and professional heat scores.  Members of the Scosche Surf Team will also participate in the competition.

The 2015 Channel Islands Surfboards Rincon Classic presented by Hurley will run from 12pm to 5pm on Friday and from 7am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday. There will be live commentating, an ASP-certified judging panel, and computerized scoring displays to provide onlookers and contestants with instant feedback on where each surfer stands in each heat.

The Rincon Classic is the oldest and most revered surfing contest in Santa Barbara surfing history which dates back many decades.
