Tennis Academy Raising funds for Philippine Tennis (Grassroots Tennis)

MANDALUYONG CITY, Philippines - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- The Perkins Twins Tennis Academy (PTTA) is launching their grassroots tennis program by raising funds to augment tennis training programs for "needy" junior tennis players in the Philippines in order to help ensure the best develop opportunities.

The Pekins Twins Tennis Academy already provides free tennis lessons for Elite Junior Philippine Tennis Players on the same courts that the IPTL (professional) players practiced on at the Edsa Shangri-la, Manila.

The PTTA teamed with CCFMI, a foundation that is fully accredited by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in the Philippines.  By teaming with an accredited foundation, distributing funds to needy tennis students for transportation, food, tournament fees, equipment and more in fully accountable!  According to Director of Tennis and Coach Tarny Perkins, "Philippine tennis players desperately need financial assistance. Many of our kids are children of working families who only want a better life of their kids - tennis can provide that!  Please pray and if your heart leads you, help us provide the best training available for our young tennis players - and a chance to compete on the world stage of tennis - all void of politics!"

Added Coach Tarny, "There is an assumption, I think in the Philippines that all tennis players come from wealthy families and practice in swank tennis clubs. While that is true for some, in fact some of the best players learned on dirt tennis courts with hand-me-down balls, rackets, shoes, etc.. Some of these families even have trouble even raising the funds for the tournament fees. Yet all of our elite junior Philippine tennis players share a common traits - they have a burning desire to get better and play at the highest level. And their parents are 100% behind them.

Elite Junior Philippine Tennis Training includes Coach Tarny (ex-touring tennis professional), the Perkins Twins (ex-Grand Prix doubles champions from California), and other coaches/ball boys.
