By: HMN Entertainment The Puppy Love Dog Fest is a favorite among young dog lovers, featuring multiple dog contests, pet adoptions, pet care vendors and competitions for student writers, artists and photographers from schools throughout the county. Admission to the event is only $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Children under 5 are free. Funds raised at the event will help support academics, athletics and the arts at Independence High School, located at 1776 Declaration Way in Thompson Station. Faulkner, a talented 16-year-old singer/songwriter from nearby Brentwood High has been generating a huge buzz since she was featured in the popular multi-platform series, “Waking Up In America.” Since appearing on the show, she has been asked to perform as part of the IndieCares Concert Series, invited back to the Hollywood Meets Nashville Grammy Benefit Gala and scheduled to go into the studio to record her debut CD!
