ONTARIO, Calif. - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter hosts in collaboration with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Eta Alpha Alpha Chapter, its Annual State of Black Male/Female Relationships Conference.

Scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter in collaboration with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Eta Alpha Alpha Chapter will host its 4th Annual State of Black Male/Female Relationships Conference. The conference will be held at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga at the Health Sciences Building located at 5885 Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, California 91737 from 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.  The conference will include workshop sessions, including a men only and women only session, panel discussion, resources and more. The conference keynote speaker will be Michael and Regina Winans. Couples/married, singles, divorcee/widows and teens are invited to attend.  The cost is $10.00 adult pre-register ($15 adult onsite) | $20.00 adult pre-register ($10) and pre-purchase Michael & Regina Winans - Be Yourself CD ($10) | $5.00 teen pre-register and onsite. *Lunch is not guaranteed for onsite registrants.

The purpose of the conference is to highlight how healthy marriages and relationships benefit adults, children and communities. The conference will provide participants access to resources and an opportunity to engage in conversation openly and honestly in an effort to identify issues and formulate solutions that will aid in fostering and sustaining healthier relationships between black men and women. By establishing healthier relationships between black men and women, the overall mental and emotional well-being of both improves, as well as, that of their children. In addition, healthier relationships will promote and enhance educational development, economic development and political empowerment within the black community. This year we are excited to collaborate with the men of the Eta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. We hope to increase the voice of black men in this conversation.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Michael & Regina Winans: Michael and Regina, the husband and wife duo, believing whole-heartedly in the sanctity of oneness, have been married for 33 years. Michael, one of the four brothers known to the world as, “The Winans,” has won numerous awards including 5 Grammy’s, 4 Dove Awards, 4 Stellar Awards, 4 Soul Train Music Awards, 2 NAACP Image Awards, etc. Regina, a former background singer for BeBe and CeCe Winans and various other Winans family members, is a former choir member of the State of Michigan (Southwest Jurisdiction-COGIC), under the leadership of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, and began singing at the age of eight. Michael and Regina have released their sophomore CD entitled, “Be Yourself”, (JDP Records/Shay Records), which is so indicative of their personalities/character. Their hearts desires are to live a life pleasing in God’s sight. Becoming O-N-E is a lifelong process and they are continuing that journey in peace, love, and happiness.
