San Diego Self Storage Collects 13,000 Toys with Rubio's to Benefit Marine Corps Families

SAN DIEGO - Feb. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) and Rubio’s^® collaborated on the 16^th Annual SDSS Toys for Tots holiday toy drive by collecting approximately 13,000 toys and $500.00 in cash donations at 18 SDSS facilities throughout San Diego, during the Encinitas Street Fair and at the December 7th San Diego Chargers game. Through SDSS, Rubio’s offered Free Eats Cards for a complimentary taco at any of Rubio’s San Diego locations for the first 50 donors who dropped off a toy at each SDSS facility.

During the toy drive, all SDSS facilities conducted a drawing for a $100 credit toward a tenant’s storage rental (new or existing tenant) and Rubio’s donated a family four-pack of complimentary meal cards. In partnership with Rubio’s, SDSS successfully collected toys for deserving children in the San Diego area, plus collected cash funds towards the effort. The Toys for Tots campaign has been in operation for approximately 65 consecutive years and SDSS has been a consistent contributor toward this effort.
