Bestselling Novelist to Teach Dialogue Workshop

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- USA Today bestselling novelist Pamela Schoenewaldt will teach a workshop on improving dialogue from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St. Sponsored by the Knoxville Writers' Guild, cost is $35 for KWG members and $40 for nonmembers.

Workshop attendees will, "Learn to recognize and create succinct, effective dramatic dialogue, avoiding common missteps. We'll use exercises, lecture and examples," Schoenewaldt said.

The workshop is open to writers of all levels and any genre involving speaking beings. Attendees are encouraged to bring examples or their or other dialogues.

Schoenewaldt is the "USA Today" bestselling author of "When We Were Strangers," "Swimming in the Moon" and the forthcoming "Under the Same Blue Sky" (May, 2015), all by HarperCollins. Her short stories have appeared in literary magazines in England, France, Italy and the United States. She taught writing for the University of Maryland, European Division and the University of Tennessee and lives in Knoxville with her husband, Maurizio Conti, a physicist, and their dog, Jesse.
