DCI Dialysis Facility Relocating in Jeannette, PA

JEANNETTE, Pa. - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Construction is complete on the newest Dialysis Clinic, Inc., (DCI) facility at 6710 State Route 30, Jeannette, Pa. The 10,000 square foot facility is replacing the smaller DCI dialysis unit currently operating at 520 Jefferson Avenue Suite 301, Jeannette, Pa. Upon relocation, the DCI facility will be named DCI Hempfield instead of DCI Jeannette.

“We’ve been a part of the Jeannette community since 1993 and we are very proud to be able to offer this new facility to our patients,” said Carol Lesnick, DCI administrator. “We hope members of the community will take advantage of our open house on February 22to explore the new facility and ask any questions they may have about kidney disease.”

The community is invited to an open house celebration on Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 1 – 4p.m. at the 6710 State Route 30 location. Guests can enjoy light refreshments while touring the facility and learning about chronic kidney disease.

Plans are in place to dialyze the first patient in the Hempfield location on Monday, February 23. All patients from the former DCI Jeannette facility will be relocated to DCI Hempfield on March 2.

The clinic offers 24 hemodialysis stations and two training rooms for peritoneal dialysis.

In-center hemodialysis patients will have heated chairs, personal televisions and free Wi-Fi internet access. The hours of operation are scheduled to be Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may change in the future to accommodate patient needs. The new facility is accepting new patients.

While treatment for kidney failure is available at the facility, DCI also offers free kidney disease education classes in an attempt to help people with chronic kidney disease maintain their kidney function for as long as possible.
