By: Casual Owl Besides getting funded, the greatest goal for the Kickstarter project is creating a community around the game, which will take part in the game’s design. ”This is a game for gamers, not a game for us, so we thought why not bring the gamers into the process?“ says Nana Sandberg: „Our Kickstarter is not just about getting backers, it’s about creating a community, hearing what other people would want in a game like this.“ ”The current game state is influenced on our own design ideas, inspiration from the classics of it genres, as well as direct feedback from gamers from the early design process” states Mathias Flohr. ”Already in the first few days, people have contacted us with great ideas. We know it’s hard to make a great game combining survival’s puzzles with strategic character development.” Finding Utopia is a Survival-RPG for computer-platforms set in a post-apocalyptic world. Although a rough gameplay-design has been made, a lot is still in development. Finding Utopia is targeted towards players, who like the hack’n’slash element of a RPG and the substance and puzzles of the Survival genre. There will therefore be important decisions on whether to be hostile or friendly towards a character. Currently Casual Owl has a Facebook group, the Kickstarter project and is working on reaching out on other social media platforms to engage people in the design of the game such as Steam Greenlight. Casual-Owl can be reached at email contact@casual- The Kickstarter will run until Wednesday, March the 18th. End
