PetaCache: New Generation Hybrid Cache for Telecom Operators

The volume of Internet data flows are reduced up to 75% on the Long Haul and 50% on the Last Mile.

BoostEdge's hierarchical hybrid cache technology improves overall performance of the cache by managing storage hierarchy, by combining object and content driven analysis and all the benefits of additional compression techniques. This means that the operator can develop a carrier-grade solution for high-capacity caches. Storage improvement is simple, inexpensive thanks to the Plug’n Boost® deployment method, and green due to lower carbon and energy footprint.

The compression/optimisation technologies, already used by a hundred customers, makes possible a considerable reduction in Internet data volumes flowing through the Long Haul (or Backbone). As a result, the operator's data bill is significantly lower, users benefit from a smoother, more inexpensive service, and the QoE (End-user Quality of Experience) is substantially improved. This technology is "clientless": it requires no client or plug-in on the user's workstation (PC, Tablet, Smartphone, etc.).
