In fact, out of the top 25 areas, south east London dominated, with Woolwich taking the top spot, Deptford at number two and Greenwich at number seven. The appeal of south east London is set to grow even further, with the new Crossrail link scheduled to open in Abbey Wood during 2017 and subsequently in Woolwich. This service will join an already strong mainline rail service; the DLR at Woolwich and Lewisham, the Overground line at New Cross, Forest Hill and Sydenham; and the Jubilee line at North Greenwich.
