ATLANTA - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Construction Resources announces its participation in PulteGroup’s (http://www.pultegroup.com/) second annual Built to Honor event. Atlanta Marble will donate cultured marble tops in the bathrooms while Atlanta Glass and Mirror will donate wire shelving for closets, bathroom mirrors, bathroom hardware and shower doors to the home being built for U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. David Payton and his at Harmony on the Lakes in Acworth, Ga.

On Friday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Construction Resources’ Atlanta Glass and Mirror will participate in an Operation Finally Home tradition call Notes of Love. Project partners will write Notes of Love on the studs and rafters for the Payton family to read prior to the installation of the sheet rock. This event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Jody Horn of Atlanta Glass and Mirrors says, “We are honored to participate in this worthwhile cause. Pulte has once again gone above and beyond to support a veteran with not just basic shelter, but a beautiful home.”

Payton currently resides in Woodstock with his wife Heather and seven children. PulteGroup surprised them in December with the announcement that they would receive a mortgage free home.  Payton sustained life threatening injuries in 2005 while deployed in Iraq when a rocket propelled grenade hit a chemical tank that he was sleeping next to and it exploded. He suffered severe burns to his lungs and eyes and is blind. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2011 with a Purple Heart, among other awards.

Launched in 2013, PulteGroup’s Built to Honor is a nationwide program created to thank returning war veterans for their countless sacrifices by building brand new, mortgage-free houses. This year, Built to Honor is partnering with Operation Finally Home, a nonprofit organization that works with wounded warriors across the nation.
