Ricky Rebel is teaming with world-renowned DJ Hector Fonseca to remix Ricky’s “Star” single on Fonseca’s Audio4Play Label to be released in Spring, 2015. Hector has worked with the biggest names in the pop and dance worlds, from Madonna to Lady Gaga, and has remixed 15 number-one hits on the Billboard dance charts for artists including Beyonce, Sia and Katy Perry. "I get so many requests daily to work with artists, but Ricky is one of the few who really caught my attention,” Hector says. “He has a classic yet totally fresh and unique voice. His style, persona and drive make him the total package." “Star” is an autobiographical look at Ricky’s musical career. He was previously discovered by Michael Jackson, toured with Britney Spears, signed to Michael Jackson’s label at Sony, then Madonna’s Maverick label as the former lead vocalist of No Authority before later embarking on a solo career. "I wrote ‘Star’ after a friend asked 'what do you want?’”, Ricky explains. “It was a simple question to answer. I wanted the same thing that I've wanted since I was a child. My goal in writing this song is to inspire people around the world to stop hesitating when it comes to going after their dreams. In life, you've got to ask for what you want, then tell people who you are and share your possibility. It's not enough to think ‘I am a star’. You have to say it out loud and enroll people in that possibility. That's how dreams manifest. I wrote it for my fans who doubt themselves. I want them to know that if you believe in yourself, anything is possible." “Star” is the opening track from “The Blue Album”, produced by Claudio Cueni (JLo). “The Blue Album” is a journey of decadent, glam-pop rebel-music tracks with hints of Adam Lambert and Madonna. The songs are musical stories of love, loss, ambition, inspiration, rebellion, salvation and living unapologetically without fear. “The Blue Album” is the follow up to Ricky’s 2012 “Manipulator” The Jimmy Star Show is pleased to showcase the expertise and talent of Ricky Rebel and all anticipate a fun and informative time talking with him about his career and the entertainment industries at large.
