Global industry leaders to gather in Nairobi for petroleum trading conference

NAIROBI, Kenya - March 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Petroleum industry leaders and executives are scheduled to meet in Nairobi, Kenya for Petrotrade Africa Conference and Exhibition 2015 which will take place from 26th to 28th August, 2015 at Hotel Royal Orchid Azure. Petrotrade Africa Conference is being held at a time when the continent is experiencing a growing appetite for energy amidst the challenge of turbulence in global oil prices.

Demand for petroleum products in Africa has been steadily growing over the last decade. To meet this demand, most countries in the African continent prefer to import finished products due to outdated refining technology and capacity on the continent. Demand for oil products in Africa is expected to grow by more than 20% in the next seven years to 4.4 million barrels per day according to the energy consulting firm, JBC Energy. The conference will focus on how to efficiently meet this demand and identifying logistical and risk barriers to improving the supply, trading and distribution of petroleum products in Africa.
