Way of Life Sports Foundation Unfairly Evicted By Mayor and City Council

FRESNO, Calif. - March 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Sometimes in life you have setbacks. Sometimes you aren't able to get back on track. Way of Life Sports Foundation will keep it going, however, we wont go without a fight.

Due to some circumstances out of our control, the City of Fresno has decided to kick out your young athletes. The most disheartening concern here is the kids. The next concern is what is going on with your local government and every tax paying citizen of Fresno should be majorly concerned.

Al Radka Park in Fresno, California has been our place for hundreds of kids from all walks of life to learn, bond, get encouraged, and just plain have fun. Needless to say we were very supportive and thankful to the City of Fresno for supplying this opportunity. We had plans to expand our programs at the park 10 fold, particularly for the special needs athletes which most of the Fresno council members were aware of. They must have tremendously short memories. There has obviously been an agenda to boot our foundation from Al Radka Park for a while. Perhaps we were too oblivious to this fact but we would like to think that our wonderful city wouldn't employ the horrible tactics that they stooped to. Lower than low is the best way to describe it.

Our city leaders have based their ejection of our foundation from Al Radka on lies, dishonored promises, and just down right lack of enthusiasm for what the Way of Life Sports Foundation has envisioned for the city we all love.
Numerous times in the past few years we have met with Fresno Parks and Recreation leaders on how we can improve the park together. From the constant asking of the city to install lights in the restrooms, fix the electronic scoreboards, increase sprinkler times so grass stays green, fix the many unsafe gates and fences (one of our top players sustained a huge cut which required many stitches on his inner thigh from a huge bolt due to these safety hazards), and this is just a small few of the purely basic requests. The only thing they did fix was shave the long bolts on the dugout gates so they don't get sued. Scoreboards still don't work, restrooms still no lights, and so on. We only know forward so we kept it moving in that direction with our mission.

We have many parents and athletes who are part of our group, and they will testify against the City of Fresno's slander of our foundation. The recent airing of our situation vs. the City on ABC 30 news was full of inconsistencies. For one they said we don't conduct special needs program at Al Radka. Really? That alone would have me disregard all their credibility. We trust that most people are honest folk, therefore we sincerely urge our parents and athletes to support our right to stand our ground and not be bullied by dirty politics and business. We assure you that what was said in that ABC 30 news story was pure propaganda. Our witnesses outnumber theirs approximately in the 1000's to 1 or 2 but most likely 0 for the City.
Why would the city make up lies to run us out of Al Radka?

Be a great citizen of Fresno...better yet of mankind and speak up.
