LAS VEGAS - March 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV; March 9, 2015: Michael Schivo, celebrating 49 years as Nevada's premier Pop, Rock and Jazz concert promoter and recipient of Nevada Arts Advocacy highest annual award has again teamed up with Old School 105.7 (Las Vegas), Power 88 (Las Vegas) and Radio Free 103.5 (Los Angeles) to co-sponsor the 23rd Annual Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz & R&B Festival Saturday, April 18th and Sunday April 19th 2015. By popular demand the Festival will remain at its new location at Government Amphitheater located at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, LV, Nevada 89154

Government Amphitheater according to producer Michael Schivo “has superior sightlines and a new sound system that will deliver the jazz and R&B attendee the great experience they deserve. Also parking is free, improved and is easily accessible to the venue. As well as there are 2 new restroom areas and increased space for the Vendor Village.” Government Amphitheater is located very close to Downtown Las Vegas and closer to the Las Vegas Strip than past festivals for convenience when staying in a hotel.

The new Festival sight has a much more of a professional feeling and intimate synergy revered by the festival patrons. The site also has many shade trees and a shaded Pavilion.Saturday’s day and night event is from 1.00 pm to 10:30 pm with Jazz Attack featuring Euge Groove, Peter White and Richard Elliot, also Gerald Albright with Norman Brown, Maysa, Pieces of a Dream, The Sax Pack 10th Anniversary tour with Kim Waters, Jeff Kashiwa and Steve Cole and Down to the Bone.

The R&B Festival portion on Sunday is from 2.00 pm to 10.30 pm. And Johnny Gill of the New Edition, Angie Stone, El DeBarge, Kenny Lattimore, Leela James and The Family Stone with many original members. As usual, the Jazz Festival has been booked with handpicked musicians. The 2 day Festival has GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS AND NOMINEES WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!

“These artists performing each night are the finest collection of acts we have ever had at the 23 year old festival, ensuring the quality of the festival will continue,” states producer Michael Schivo. Schivo continues, “there are no long rows of white plastic chairs just your low back chair on soft green grass.”

VIP EARLY BIRD tickets get you into the festival 2 hours before GA and the 1st pick of where you want to sit, whether that be under a shade tree or closer down front. VIP also comes with executive water flushing restrooms and a shorter line VIP cash bar. GA has clean Porta Toliets, but a longer wait to enter the Festival

Patrons of the Festival are permitted to bring into the park picnic baskets filled with their favorite food and beverages, NO glass containers, wagons or carts are allowed. As well, there will be various concessions and crafts at the festival located in the Jazz Village. NO HIGH BACK CHAIRS ALLOWED INTO THE FESTIVAL. A high back chair is any chair over 31 inches.

TICKETING INFORMATION: This year's Jazz Festival will again offer free admission to each event for children 12 years of age and under, and a reduced ticket price to each event for children 13-17 years of age for $25, which will be available at the on-site festival box office on the day of the event only. The Jazz Festival VIP/ Early Bird tickets receive 1st entry from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday 11.00 am to 1.00 pm for center of the venue seating with its own cash bar and upgraded executive restroom facilities. Tickets are $167 in advance including any ticket outlet service charges. General Admission adult tickets in advance are $111.50 including any ticket outlet service charges.
