AbleNet Inc. Announces the NEW Summer 2015 Splash Extended School Year Program

ST. PAUL, Minn. - March 11, 2015 - PRLog -- ST. PAUL, MN – MARCH 11, 2015 – AbleNet Inc., a world leader in assistive technology, curriculum, and services for persons with disabilities, announces their latest summer 2015 edition of Splash. Splash is an all-in-one summer program uniquely designed to support students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities. The Splash program format includes all the teacher materials in an easy-to-store and easy-to-carry folio as well as colorfully printed student workbooks with three levels of instruction and materials in each book. The four age-neutral themes of Be Inventive, The Night Sky, Start-up, and Let’s Be Healthy make summer learning fun and engaging for students of all ages.  The four topics cover new inventions in the past year, natural and people-made objects in the sky, what it means to start a new business, and choosing a rainbow of foods to eat for good health.

Students learn and maintain their skills by using hands-on materials, writing, estimating, measuring, counting money, writing a business plan, making constellations, planning a garden and a food stand, inventing, researching each topic in the media center or on the Internet, learning vocabulary, playing games, working together, and practicing basic skills – all while having fun.  Teachers can enjoy choosing a theme for the week and work on various activities that will cover communication, social interaction, literacy, math, health, and science.
