Appeal to Support Saint Katherine College

Have you ever wondered why so many Orthodox Christian youth leave our Faith? Or, why we talk about youth programs but never seem to offer consistent opportunities for our youth to grow up in the Faith past their elementary or high school years? Isn’t it time our young people had a College of liberal arts and sciences that balances academic excellence with the Orthodox Christian tradition?

All faith traditions, which came to America, built colleges and universities to ensure future generations understood their faith and history. Many Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish higher education institutions are now world-renowned. Buddhist, Hindu, and other faith traditions have their own institutions and there are five Islamic colleges and universities in North America. It is time we forged a great institution of learning for future generations of our Orthodox Christian youth!

As we experience the blessings of Lent, we are asking every Orthodox Christian community to take this opportunity and offer a monetary gift to Saint Katherine College. All of the donations will be used for educational programs, and we will publicly acknowledge our benefactors throughout our Fifth Jubilee Year. With your gift, you will be joining other parishes across the country in supporting our ground-breaking efforts to educate and produce future Orthodox Christian community and parish leaders. According to Saint John Chrysostom, the right instruction of a person comprises knowledge of God. This is the purpose of Saint Katherine College.
