Accounting Today Ranks McGladrey No. 5 on Top 100 Firms List

CHICAGO - March 12, 2015 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the leading U.S. provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, was recently ranked as the fifth largest accounting, tax and consulting firm in the United States for the ninth consecutive year by Accounting Today.

The industry trade publication’s 2015 Top 100 Firms list was featured in Accounting Today’s “More of the same, please” article, which indicates that trends identified over the past three of four years continued, saying this is generally ‘good news,’ as those trends are mostly about ‘comfortable levels of growth and a general upward rise.’ Overall growth for the Top 100 came in at 8.44 percent, a little higher but still in line with the previous three years.

The article highlighted McGladrey’s ongoing focus on creating an environment where people know their work has meaning – an environment where they feel valued and cared about, are engaged and excited to work, feel passionate about their projects, and understand how adding value to the firm’s clients enhances their careers.

Some of McGladrey’s key activities from 2014 were also spotlighted in the article, including: the hiring of a chief economist and a chief technology officer in August; and joining forces with a number of firms in key markets, including Ohio-based Battelle Rippe Kingston (September), Oklahoma-based Cole + Reed (November), Philadelphia-based Fesnak (December) and Connecticut-based Pacilio Wealth Management (December).
