VanceNyCC Welcomes Paul "Puma" Robinson to the Vance Family

BRONX, N.Y. - March 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Born and raised in the Bronx section of New York City, “Puma” grew up in what most will call “the slums” or popularly referred to as the Hood.  Just like a Phoenix, beauty rises from ashes. The Bronx created Hip Hop and Puma created his own understanding of Hip Hop culture through art forms known as graffiti. He was naturally talented, with influences and inspiration from some of the greats in Hip Hop and Black Popular culture, a tattoo artist christened young Paul to Puma.

As much as he love the Hip Hop culture, making people laugh and providing ways for people to better themselves has always been his escape from the street life New York City seemed to only offer in the early 1990s. However, it was that same city life that introduced Puma to a world of individual creativity. Exposure to all forms of art from music, to expressive art, to the stage, Puma was able to find his niche amongst an ocean of individuals.

Referring back to his original admiration with graffiti, Puma became captivated by the art of tattooing and body art expression. To Puma, Urban, New York and Hip Hop culture are one in the same. Spreading his love for  “city living expression” became his motivation to become the next infamous mogul to rise from street life ashes.

His charismatic persona and ability to see beauty in chaos landed him in front of thousands of spectators at various hosting engagements across the five boroughs to inevitably landing in front of millions on one of America’s most viewed network stations.

Currently, Puma is a reality TV personality on VH1’s hit show Black Ink Crew. Before becoming a national sensation, Black Ink Tattoo Shop’s humble beginnings began in Harlem as a business owned and operated by young black inner city idealists turning dreams into reality. That reality came to be long before the cameras with the help of young man’s determination and hustle, a highly controversial yet highly favored visionary named Puma. Between filming, he has ventured into other endeavors that will prove to be a success, much like the Black Ink and one special investment he has embarked on recently: Family.
