Made In Italy Gourmet hosts Wok Star's Italian Wok Fusion

MIAMI - March 28, 2015 - PRLog -- For food lovers who want to make easy, one dish Italian dinners at home, you’re in for a treat!  Miami’s wok cooking teacher, Eleanor Hoh aka Wok Star will be applying her easy, NO-recipe approach to Italian Asian Fusion cooking!  Classes will be held every last Tuesday of the month inside Made In Italy Gourmet.  The first class is next Tuesday, March 31st, 6:30-9:30pm at 10 NE 27th Street, Wynwood.  Only 12 lucky guests will join Hoh in this intimate class for $85 per person with 3 dishes paired with wines selected by sommelier, Sergio Russo. Guests will get a tour of their 3,500 sq. ft. Italian wine, gourmet deli and store while enjoying their appetizer and wine. At the end of class, guests will have a chance to purchase Hoh’s WOK STAR KIT BUNDLE and ingredients used in class so they can go home and replicate what they learned!

It’s been a goal of Hoh’s to expand her student’s repertoire of cooking ethnic dishes in their woks, so when co-owner, Pietro Morelli opened Made In Italy Gourmet, he invited her to give her class there with the criteria of making Italian food in her wok, it was a dream come true! Hoh hopes there will be many more, like Malaysian, Cuban, Korean, the list is endless and even one that focuses on just breakfasts made in the wok which her husband will be giving!

Morelli and Hoh met when Morelli was marketing director of Zonin 1821 and hosted Hoh’s cooking classes in their penthouse loft as well as provided wine pairings.  His vision of inviting different chefs to teach and offer unique food and wine experiences is finally coming to fruition. What Morelli and Hoh share is the importance for guests to have a good ‘experience’ and ‘engage’ with all their senses, not just the food but surroundings and ambience. They should feel like they’ve been transported to Italy if only for just a few hours!
