Follow on Google News | MTR Celebrates Island Line West Extension with Souvenir Ticket SetBy: MTR Corporation “The extension of the Island Line to Western District marks a new era for rail travel in Hong Kong. It expands our train service to reach a wider community and at the same time, brings people closer together. To commemorate this memorable moment with our passengers, we are launching special souvenir ticket sets with each set including a specially designed USB flash drive with station name which allows passengers to keep their precious memories,” said Ms Jeny Yeung, Commercial Director of MTR Corporation. The full series of souvenir tickets includes three sets entitled “Kennedy Town”, “HKU”, and “Sai Ying Pun” featuring iconic illustrations by well-known local artist Ms Stella So. Priced at HK$98, each set comprises one MTR souvenir ticket*, a specially designed ticket holder and a USB flash drive (4GB). The first souvenir ticket set, “Kennedy Town”, will be available for sale from this Sunday (5 April), with the other two sets following on 12 April and 19 April. Souvenir ticket set details are as follows: Kennedy Town (First Set) Available from: 5 April 2015 (Sunday) while stocks last Souvenir Ticket Set includes: - A souvenir ticket* - A specially designed ticket holder - A station name USB flash drive (4GB) HKU (Second Set) Available from: 12 April 2015 (Sunday) while stocks last Souvenir Ticket Set includes: - A souvenir ticket* - A specially designed ticket holder - A station name USB flash drive (4GB) Sai Ying Pun (Last Set) Available from: 19 April 2015 (Sunday) while stocks last Souvenir Ticket Set includes: - A souvenir ticket* - A specially designed ticket holder - A station name USB flash drive (4GB) Ticket Validity: From date of purchase to 30 May 2015 (Saturday) Each souvenir ticket is valid for one single journey to any destination on the MTR* on or before 30 May 2015 (Saturday) and can be kept as a souvenir after use. Malfunctioning tickets should be exchanged on or before 30 May 2015 at any MTR Customer Service Centre (except Airport Express, Light Rail, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau and Racecoursestations) The ticket sets will be available for sale at all MTR Customer Service Centres** (unpaid area) throughout the dates mentioned above from the start of MTR train service while stocks last. Each person is limited to two sets per purchase. For details, please visit www.mtr.com.hk. *Each ticket is valid for one single journey to any destination on the MTR on or before 30 May 2015, except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, journeys to or from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau stations, Light Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus. If the ticket is used against the Terms and Conditions to travel to either Lo Wu Station or Lok Ma Chau Station, the holder is liable to pay the full single journey fare between the station of entry and Lo Wu Station or Lok Ma Chau Station. The ticket will then be returned to the holder for use on a valid journey. **Except Airport Express, Light Rail, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau and Racecourse stations. End
