Destin Attracts “Foodies” with New Eateries

DESTIN, Fla. - April 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Gastronomes, “foodies” and those who enjoy a variety of culinary choices are “happy as pie” with the new dining establishments recently opened. We are highlighting a few of the new members of the Destin restaurant family:

El Jalisco

Serving typical Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner, El Jalisco boasts a friendly, family-run environment at the Destin Commons next to Bass Pro Shop. While offering an excellent, low-priced lunch menu, this “restaurante” serves an equally-impressive tequila list and hosts a weekly “Latin Night” featuring late-night Salsa dancing.

World of Beer

Another new addition to the Destin Commons restaurant offering, World of Beer (WOB) is a pint-lovers dream, presenting hundreds of bottled beers and an ever-changing draft beer list. The tasty, bar-inspired food menu does not disappoint, and neither do the bartenders, who provide attentive service with an “edgy” attitude. Frequenters may sign up for their loyalty card and save, track and share the beers they’ve sampled.

The Craft Bar

Self-coined as a “gastropub”, the Destin Craft Bar was recently opened by Chan Cox, founder of Chan’s Wine World with locations throughout Destin and 30-A. Enticing guests with craft beer on tap, mixologists and delicious food, you’ll find a steady crowd of locals and their friends even late into the night, where the Craft Bar still serves a limited-item menu. Sunday brunch is a popular choice with those “in the know”, where the “Brunch Burger” is a sure crowd pleaser.

La Famiglia

This Italian restaurant is not new to the Emerald Coast but the location is. In late March, “the family” moved their original location from the Destin Harbor to the Destin Commons. Now located next to Tropical Smoothie and offering both inside and outside dining, La Famiglia continues the tradition of serving Roman cuisine for lunch and dinner that is truly “autentico”. Wine lovers will enjoy their happy hour from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, where house reds and whites are a bargain.

The Destin Commons expanded in summer of 2014 adding 23 new tenants. The outdoor shopping mall is centrally located with a wide selection of Destin condos nearby for accommodations. The great variety of restaurants and shopping as well as one of a kind views has made the Emerald Coast one of the country’s top vacation destinations.
