The Specifications of Cast Steel Ball In The Ball Mill Of Cement Plant & Mines

TANGSHAN, China - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Our Regular cast grinding ball diameter from 20mm-150mm, chrome content from 1%-23% as customer required,hardness from 45HRC-65HRC accordingly , we also accept customized special chrome cast balls, usually the cast steel ball can be divided into 3 different kinds according to the chrome content:

1. Low chrome cast steel ball: cr content about 1-3%,C:2.0-3.5, Si≤1.2，Mn≤1.0,P≤0.15,S≤0.25, hardness about 42-49HRC ;

2.High chrome cast steel ball: cr content about 10-13%,C:1.8-3.2,Si:0.3-1.2,Mn:0.3-1.0,P&S ≤0.1,hardness about 50-57HRC;

3.High chrome cast steel ball with quenching oil,only high chrome above 10% can use quench oil technique,in fact the same content is same,only the quench technique can make the ball hardness more higher,the other have no difference, but the quenching balls have better performance becasue of the hardness neary can reach 65HRC .

2.What Is The Application Of The Cast Grinding Balls ?

Our products widely used as the grinding media in pulverizing ball mill machine in cement plant, power station and various kinds of gold mine and iron mine industry,it is enjoyed a good reputation both in domestic market and foreign markets,especially the cast steel ball,used widely in the cement plant , the usually ball diameter is 20mm-90mm used more.

3.What Is The Raw Materials Of The Cast Grinding Balls ?

The raw material including high quality ferro chrome,high quality steel, high quality various kinds of irons like C, Mn,Si,Cu, etc should be melted in induction furnace with a temperature of 1400℃,then put the melting liquid into the ball molds or automatic production line.If you want to guarantee the ball performance, you must use high quality raw material .

4.What Is The Heat Treatment Of The Cast Grinding Balls ?

Hardening :Heat slowly to a temperature of 900°C-1050°C , quenching them in oil about 10 minutes and then let balls followed by air to 250-350°C；Tempering:Put the quenched balls in the section size furnace, heat slowly to a temperature 600°C,  followed by air 4 hours to 200°C at last.

5.What Is The Balls Surface Finishing And Inspections Before Packing?

All casting balls will be properly fettled,tumbled and dressed,all surface shall be thoroughly cleaned.

5.1.Sand and Slag inclusion will not existed;

5.2.Depth of defect is more than 2mm will not existed;

5.3.The hardness will be measured on 5 balls selected at random from each heat treatment batch;

5.4.One ball at least will be selected randomly from each heat treatment batch for micro-examination.

6.Packing And Loading Of The Cast Grinding Balls:

We load the balls In hardened and tempered condition after inspection,in normal condition,we packaged by standard container bag,1 ton/bag ,and also packaged by the iron drums,900kgs /drum, in 1*20GP,we usually can load 25 tons, that means 25 Bags and 28 Drums. Some of the destination port have weight limited, 1*20GP about 21 tons only, then, we only can load 21 Bags or 23 Drums.
