Follow on Google News | Applications for 3rd Annual Conejo Valley Days Outhouse Races Now AvailableApplications are now available for the 3rd Annual Conejo Valley Days (CVD) Outhouse Races.
Previous years saw such entries as “Gotta Go,” “Ye Olde John” and “Poop Coupe.’” The racecourse distance is about 200 feet on grass. Racing outhouses are built on wheels. Specific rules for building and racing the outhouses are found on the CVD website along with an entry form. The entry fee is $50. “Recruit your co-workers and family members to be build and participate,” The deadline to enter is Tuesday, May 5. Outhouses must be delivered to the CVD site between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on that day Each outhouse entry must have its name displayed on the exterior. To participate, someone is required to sit in the outhouse while two others push the outhouse down the course. Trophies are awarded to first, second and third place winners. In addition, there will be a "People’s Choice Award." CVD hours are Thursday, May 7, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 5:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, May 9, noon to midnight and Sunday, May 10, noon to 8:00 p.m. The Pet Central Education and Welfare Foundation is the nonprofit partner for this year’s Conejo Valley Days.
