Local Hot Sauce Company Growth Continues

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - April 14, 2015 - PRLog -- “It’s amazing to look back and consider that it all began when I was in college and wanted to create my own hot sauce that not only tasted good, but looked good,” explained founder Franco Donohue. “It was a personal challenge to create a hot sauce that complimented the food, not overpowered it, and that had enough heat to make my endorphins go WOW!”Since their launch, they have seen over a tripling of production volume and are not slowing down.

Franco’s hot sauce story begins a lot earlier than college. “I remember being a kid, going to watch football at sports bars with my family, eating wings and trying different hot sauces. I realized that most sauces either had no heat or were all heat and devoid of flavor.

“Later in business school, I began to experiment making hot sauce from my own recipes. My roommates and college friends became my test subjects. At the beginning I would buy Worcestershire sauce, pour out the sauce, scrub off the labels, and fill it with my hot sauce.

“Soon after, I met my future wife on a flight out of Asheville. In May 2012 we were married. At our wedding we gave our guests favors: our hot sauce! A few weeks later FIREWALKER Hot Sauce Company official launched.

“We were already neighbors and friends with Ed and Arlene Sullivan when we chose to work with Asheville Signarama. They took the time to understand our company, its direction and overall mission, so that our signage would make a strong impression.

“Asheville Signarama designed our banners and signage including banners for local 10k races, food festivals, trade shows, car magnets and more.”

FIREWALKER continues to grow, driven by Franco’s passion for creating sauces that excite the palate and heighten the experience without compromising flavor.
