Nalashaa helps Achieve Meaningful Use Stage 2 Certification for Client Healthcare Solution

ISELIN, N.J. - April 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Nalashaa, a custom product development company, today announced that it has successfully achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 certification for its client, a behavioral sciences solutions provider. The product is a front to back office solution, featuring EHR, human services, scheduling, financial, claims management, revenue cycle management, and Business Intelligence reporting analytics.

Project Overview

Nalashaa healthcare experts (http://www.nalashaa.com/healthcare-it/ ) worked closely with the client to perform a GAP analysis, develop MU2 features and help the client during Drummond certification process. The vast experience of Nalashaa technical experts helped in driving the production work to completion in 12 weeks, covering 17 measures for Meaningful Use Stage 2 certification.

A key challenge area wherein our experts assisted the client was for QRDA and custom direct messaging platform requirements. The original schema design was not specifically designed for generating QRDA cat files, which were re-designed to suit the specific requirements of Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements for QRDA, wherein single generic business logic was needed to extract CAT 1 & 3 files data with integrity. Direct Messaging for HIE requirements mandated the development of a custom web-service to communicate between the EHR and the direct messaging server.

The client product suite was built on a complex Java backbone, which Nalashaa Java experts worked through quickly to incorporate the necessary improvements to be compliant with Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements (http://www.nalashaa.com/portfolio/behavioral-health-manag... ). Our wide range of expertise helped in working with the client application, a multilayer Java/JSP using Apache JetSpeed for UI representation and BIRT for reporting and analytics requirements.
