The tasteful blend of fabrics, soothing colours and lush greenery from the private garden are complemented by vibrant, decorative pieces and rich wooden floorings. Spacious with high ceilings, the guest suites are rejuvenated with stylish contemporary décor and a spectrum of new additions, including indoor stucco showers, plush armchairs, outdoor shower walls and hanging egg chairs in the private lush garden adorn the revamped suites to provide a warm and welcoming feel. In a humble and heartening display of social consciousness, each upgraded Heritage suite shows strong support for the local community and Cambodian workmanship. Each piece of furniture in the revamped suites is handcrafted by local craftsmen and artisans, such as the ergonomic sofas and lamps, which were custom designed and locally made by Cambodian artisans. The round mats, woven from water hyacinth, are products of a collaboration with Osmose, a local NGO that simultaneously tackles issues of environmental preservation and poverty alleviation through handicraft. The quirky and intricate artworks placed as exquisite touches in the suites are by Cambodian artist Theam’s House and Angkor Artwork, who share a deep love for Cambodian arts. All premium bath amenities from Bodia Nature are also locally-made with the finest and all-natural ingredients to create the best relaxation sanctuary for guests.

The refurbishment project was overseen by Jacob Thrane from TEKO, Scandinavia’s largest design and business academy, and was commissioned to revitalise the décor while retaining the authentic Cambodian colonial architecture. Through soothing palettes, modern and refined furnishings, as well as clean lines, the freshly appointed guest suites are spacious and elegant sanctuaries reflecting the inviting and charming embrace of Siem Reap’s historical rural beauty.
