Seabourne Receives Award From National Laboratory

SPOKANE, Wash. - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project Regional Symposium, Spokane, WA  – April 2, 2015 – Seabourne Consulting, based in Washington, DC and Portland, Oregon, received an award for its data visualization contributions to the Smart Grid Demonstration Project.  The award was presented to Seabourne and its partner QualityLogic by the Battelle Memorial Institute and the Bonneville Power Administration as a result of Seabourne’s Transactive Data Exploration Dashboard developed for the project.

The dashboard allows energy professionals to explore 4 years worth of Smart Grid data spanning 12 utilities and 60,000 homes and businesses.  Working with partners QualityLogic, the Seabourne Consulting team delivered the project in four months.  It will be instrumental in enabling the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Lab to share Smart Grid data with the larger utility community.

As a result of the project, Seabourne has developed a visualization toolkit specifically focused on the utility and energy industries, enabling rapid development and deployment of visualization dashboards for grid operations and management. “We’re excited to leverage the outcomes of this project to help other utilities make better decisions with their data,” Mike continued.
