April is National Adopt a Greyhound Month

COLUMBUS, Ohio - April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Today, Riverside Drive Animal Care Center, a full-service veterinary medical facility for cats and dogs for more than 25 years, announced that as April is National Adopt a Greyhound month, it offers specialized care for this unique breed.

With the increasing popularity of adopting retired rescue Greyhounds as pets--it’s estimated that more than 80,000 now live in homes as pets—owners need a place to turn to properly diagnose and treat the special health needs of these dogs.

Riverside Drive Animal Care Center (RDACC) in Dublin provides one of the only programs in the Midwest specializing in treating the particular health needs of this breed. Part of a group known as sighthounds, Greyhounds are unique dogs in that they have health needs specific to their breed, including issues related to thyroid, excessive bleeding and dental disease.
