By: Calgary Ability Network & CPAA In attendance will be representatives from: Access Calgary, Calgary Transit, Checker Cabs, along with Mario Hernandez, Chief Taxi Inspector. With their help, we hope to achieve the best policies and practices around the provision of transportation services that are appropriate, accessible, affordable, equitable and inclusive of all our citizens. This event is open to the public and we expect to have many voices from the disability community joining us. Event info: Date: Thursday, April 16, 2015 Time: 1PM – 3PM Location: Bridgeland Riverside Community Association 917 Centre Ave NE (across from CNIB) Initiated by the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta, CAN is a collaborative partnership involving professionals and consumers from the disability community whose main goal is to bridge the gap between the fragmented disability communities in Calgary and put forward actions plans to effectively advance policies that address persons with disabilities.
