It is composed of pliable lightweight PVC components engineered to interlock to create a waterproof mold- and mildew resistant grid-free surface and barrier impervious to water and caustic car wash chemicals. It is an excellent install for car washes where management wants to maintain cleanliness and an aesthetically pleasing appearance inside the tunnel.

The sturdy Zip-UP Ceiling system is also wind-proof. It meets every Florida standard for static and cyclic load tests of hurricane strength winds and carries a Class A Fire Rating. The system uses just three main components, including a main rail and foot-wide panels that are the visible surface of the system. The panels, which install in front of any equipment mounted on the walls, unzip individually for quick access to the delivery system of the chemicals and other mechanical equipment and the electrical equipment behind them and are easy to zip back into place.

Zip-UP Ceiling is also a natural fit for car washes reclaiming the water used to wash the cars. Because of the integrity of the cladding of the tunnel Zip-UP Ceiling can create, the water drips down from the walls into the floor grates that are a part of the reclaiming system, minimizing the amount of water lost before it enters the recirculation system.

Because of the uniformity of the surface and its inherent reflectivity and brightness, the tunnel looks clean and inviting throughout the entire passage.

Zip-UP Ceiling is available in white and in beige. The main rails and panels are available in 12' and 16' lengths.

The manufacturer warrants that the system is free from defects, materials and workmanship for 25 years from the date of purchase and that the components will continue to zip together for that time.
