Tony Award winning poet, Georgia Me to host week-long “Tamika Festival”

April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- When it comes to the world of poetry and spoken word, one artist has truly shined and has reached the top with numerous accolades and awards. Tony Award winning poet Georgia Me, is pleased to announce her annual week-long Tamika Festival to be held in the city of Atlanta May 4^th-9^th.

The six day celebration, which pays tribute and homage to those who are making positive, impacts both in the spoken word and celebrity community. Honorees for this years festival includes actress Jasmine Guy, rapper Killer Mike, Keith Rodgers and more.

“This is a week-long celebration to celebrate those who are making a difference in the community. We want to pay homage and just have a good time.” said Tamika Harper who goes by the stage name of Georgia Me and was given an official day by the city of Atlanta on May 4^th.

The week-long celebration will include poetry nights, day parties, a spoken word gala celebration and many more events to keep everyone entertained.

“We plan to show up and have a good time in Atlanta! This week-long festival is designed for everyone to have a good time. There is something for every one.” said Harper.
